Salford City captain, Ibou Touray, has been called up to the Gambian national team.
The left-back, who has amassed an impressive eight assists this season, is set to join up with the West African side for their African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in a double header against Mali.
Gambia are set to take on Mali on March 24 and March 28. Gambia are currently second in Group G on three points, above Congo on goal difference with Mali sitting top of the group on six points.

Touray’s call-up does however mean that he will miss Saturday’s visit to second-placed Stevenage in what looks to be a crunch game for Salford City’s promotion hopes following their 3-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers.
The Ammies will certainly be feeling the loss of their captain, who has featured in every league game so far this season.
