Grimsby Town’s Jordan Cook did score with a free kick in the 50th minute, but the goal was disallowed and the Ammies were given another free kick.
Letheren in goal also denied Grimsby throughout the second half.

This was the first time that the two sides have played against each other, with this game being Salford City’s first win in seven games.
