MANCHESTER City picked up their first Premier League victory at the Etihad Stadium since September with a 2-0 win over Watford last night.
City took the lead on the half-hour mark when Argentine defender Pablo Zabaleta side-footed home Kevin De Bruyne’s cross to notch his first goal for the club in over two years.
England international Raheem Sterling almost doubled City’s lead after a mazy run, only to see his shot from the edge of the box clip the top of the crossbar.

Watford, who went into the game in 10th place, briefly threatened with Nigerian Odion Ighalo wasting their best chance after he scooped a shot over Claudio Bravo’s goal.
As gaps in the Hornets’ defence opened as they pushed for an equalizer, they got hit with a sucker punch.
On the break, Spaniard David Silva finished off Sterling’s pass on his 200th Premier League appearance to add the icing on the cake for City.
The win keeps City in fourth place, three points clear of Tottenham, whilst Watford drop to 11th.

However, City did suffer a cruel a blow with German Ilkay Gundogan picking up a knee injury which could keep him sidelined for several months.
