CURZON Ashton have announced their second signing in as many days as Jack Truelove joins the Nash from Oldham Athletic.

The 20-year-old full-back played four loan games for John Flanagan’s side last season, but has joined permanently after being released by the League One side.

During his short spell, which started on December 3, Truelove quickly became a fan favourite according to the official Curzon website.

After his spell at The Tameside Stadium, the defender made 13 appearances for Hednesford Town – appearing twice against Curzon.

The Burnley-born player has also spent time on loan at Staybridge Celtic, Colwyn Bay and Brackley Town during his short career.

The signing follows the news that former York City midfielder Michael Potts had joined Flanagan’s side yesterday after leaving fellow Vanarama National League North side Bradford Park Avenue.

The club announced yesterday (May 30) that they intend to announce a new signing on a daily basis over the next five days.

in other transfer news involving the club, striker Matthew Warburton has departed The Tameside Stadium to join fellow sixth tier side Salford City.

Warburton scored 14 goals in 41 games for Curzon last season – who will receive an undisclosed fee from the Ammies for the 24-year-old.

After back-to-back promotions, Curzon Ashton secured a club record 11th place finish in the Vanarama National League North last season.
