Angry Ginge managing his side - YouTube

Salford YouTuber and Twitch streamer Angry Ginge has reached the final of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here – and is the odds-on favourite to win the competition.

The social media personality, real name Morgan Burtwistle, is among the final three celebrities left in the Australian jungle for the 25th series of the show.

After three weeks in the wilderness, the public is set to decide which of Angry Ginge, Tom Read Wilson or Shona McGarty will be crowned the king or queen of the jungle in tonight’s final.

The penultimate episode of the hit ITV series delivered a surprise elimination as Mancunian rapper Aitch was knocked out of the competition by the public vote.

A friend of Angry Ginge before the series began, Aitch said after his exit that “the crown needs to go to Ginge” during an interview with hosts Ant and Dec.

While Angry Ginge may have been disappointed to see his pal narrowly miss out on the final, the bookmakers have slashed his odds to win the competition following Aitch’s shock exit.

Ahead of last night’s episode, where the final four celebrities took part in the annual fan-favourite Celebrity Cyclone challenge, Aitch was the favourite to win the competition.

His surprise departure has seen Ginge surge to the head of the I’m a Celebrity market. He is 4/9 favourite with Bet365 to win the reality TV show.

Ginge, who grew up on a council estate in Eccles, had amassed 897,000 subscribers on YouTube and 1.3 million on streaming site Twitch at the time he entered the jungle.

The Salfordian also appeared in this year’s Soccer Aid after catching the attention of ITV producers, giving him the chance to live out his boyhood dream of playing at Old Trafford as a lifelong Manchester United fan.

He has outlasted nine big-name celebrities including Jack Osborne, Martin Kemp from Spandau Ballet and comedian and presenter Ruby Wax to reach the last three.

Former Salford contestants on the popular series have come agonisingly close to bringing the crown home to the city.

Ex-Emmerdale star Adam Thomas famously powered through a record-breaking number of bushtucker trials during his stint in the jungle in 2016, where he finished in third place.

Andy Whyment, the long-serving Coronation Street actor, missed out by the narrowest of margins when he finished runner-up in the 2019 series.

Angry Ginge will aim to bring the elusive I’m a Celebrity crown back to Salford tonight.

The series finale is set to air on ITV1 at 9pm on Sunday 7 December, when the 2025 King or Queen of the Jungle will be announced.
