Salford City will be looking for a third consecutive win as they travel to Barrow in the final push for the playoff positions.
The Ammies will be looking to continue their strong form, after back-to-back wins against Grimsby (1-0) and Bromley (2-3).
Karl Robinsons’ side will be hoping to maintain this run of form as they reach the back end of the season, only six points of the playoff position.
And they will be hoping that a win will throw them back in the running for promotion.
A win for the Ammies will see them capture their third win in a row, with the last time the team achieved this run of form being at the beginning of January.
In the winning run, Salford supporters will have memories of the 3-0 home win against Barrow on Boxing Day, which kicked started their unbeaten run at the start of the year, and they will be hopeful for the same result.
And that distant memory will also provide some confidence for Karl Robinsons side – as Barrow visited the Peninsula Stadium, with Salford City’s Luke Garbutt, Tyrese Fornah, and Kylian Kouassi putting the ball into the back of the net.
However, despite the previous fixture, Salford will also have to be prepared for a tough challenge at Holker Street.
The Bluebirds have seen a change of management at Barrow since the two sides last met, with Andy Whing joining from Solihull Moors replacing Stephen Clemence as Head Coach at the club.
Since making the move, the former Coventry City and Oxford United full back has managed the team to six wins, one draw, and six defeats.
And the Bluebirds will be walking into the fixture with only one defeat in their last six fixtures – and after picking up eleven points from a possible eighteen, proving that they are tough team to beat.
And with that form, and the clubs desire to move further away from the relegation zone – this will not be an easy fixture for the Ammies.
But with the Ammies six points off the playoff places, a win would allow Salford City to make good ground in their promotion efforts – as incidentally, Grimsby travel to ninth placed Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night, who are currently two points ahead of Salford in the table.
The fixture will kick-off at 7.45pm tonight and will be a huge test for both sides who will be looking to improve the league positions at either end of the season.
