A date has been revealed for the new Lidl store that will open as a part of the Castle Irwell development.
The newest Lidl store will open on Cromwell Road, and will officially open on Thursday 27 March.
The store will be open from 8am–10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am–4pm on Sundays , and will offer residents “quality and affordable products.”
The site was approved to be built on the site on the corner of Cromwell Road and Littleton Road by Salford City Council on December 8 2023.
The new multi-million pound investment will be a part of the Castle Irwell development, that aim to create 40 new jobs in the community – and be a boost for the local economy.
The newly constructed facility will also feature a bakery, as well as customer facilities, including toilets with baby-changing stations.
Outside the store, residents will be able to use parking for both cars and bicycles also – with the planning application sharing that the store will open out onto a car park with 100 spaces.
The car park will include six disabled parking spots, nine parent and child spaces and two electric vehicle charging points in addition to five motorbike parking bays.
For the opening weekend, residents in Salford will also be able to take advantage of the stores offers as well as getting complimentary food samples.
