A café in Irlam is hosting a party with free cake and live music to celebrate their 10th anniversary with local residents.
The celebrations will be hosted on Wednesday 19 March, with the modern rail transport facility offering guests a selection of food and drinks in their vibrant café bar.
The building itself has been a part of the local history of Irlam and showcases that with picture of the area in years past, as well as being accompanied with memorabilia of trains.

General Manager of the station, Phil Laskey said: “I say it is a living museum because it’s a working live train station with trains to Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road.”
Throughout the day, the café will be hosting a variety of activities beginning with free tea and coffee and cupcakes for commuters from 6-10am.
Guests who attend between 11am and 1pm will be offering a community drop-in with live music, including a birthday cake and speeches at 12pm.
The station has massively grown over the years, beginning as a small business offering tea and coffee to now holding wedding ceremonies for up to 150 people.
Paul said: “Special thanks to Friends of Irlam station for all their tireless efforts and hours they dedicated volunteering from the running of the popular tours of the station to organising the summer festival and Christmas’s market.”

Paul continued to thank the Hamilton Davis Trust also, as he continued: “To Hamilton Davis trust for not only ensuring the station is full of local heritage and information for visitors to learn about this project and its surrounding area but also their work with local schools to help educate the future generations about the station.
“Thanks to the North Cheshire Developments for taking on this project and restoring this beautiful building to what we see today.”
Paul continued: “I have great plans for 2025 to grow this business and know with everyone’s support this station can go full steam and for many more years to come.
“And of course, finally all our friends and guests that come through our doors, it’s been a pleasure to be part of organising and running this business.”
