Salford City and their B-team have six players currently out on loan across the leagues, here’s an update on how the Ammies’ youngsters are getting on.

Robbie Cleary recently agreed a loan extension at Bamber Bridge until the end of April after scoring three goals in three games. The 21-year-old striker from Canada has made 10 appearances, starting eight and scoring four in the Northern Premier League, after initially signing in January.

Junior Luamba made the switch across the Pennines to National League high-flyers York City. Luamba has made 8 appearances for the club in their search to chase down league leaders Barnet, but is unfortunately yet to register a goal or assist. However, the 21-year-old did win a penalty for The Minstermen on his debut which helped the club claim a vital win against Dagenham & Redbridge.

6’7 striker Marcus Dackers has stayed in Lancashire with League 2 side Morecambe. The 22-year-old has made 40 appearances and racking up a massive 2473 minutes in all competitions, scoring one and registering four assists.
Liam Humbles is a 21-year-old midfielder for playoff-chasing Gateshead. Humbles has played 13 times in the National League, totalling 784 minutes with no goal involvements. However, he has impressed enough to make 3 consecutive starts this month for the club.

Alfie Henderson, plays in Salford’s B-team and has been sent out for a spell at Witton Albion in the Northen Premier League West Division. The 20-year-old is currently enjoying his time there making three appearances and making two starts for the Cheshire-based club after joining at the end of February.

Ben Collins, another player from the B-team, has been across the Welsh Border to Flint Town United in the Cymru Premier Division. Joining at the end of January, the wing-back has made four appearances scoring his first goal in the club’s 2-2 draw against Newtown last week.
The first team will play host to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday and will be looking to follow up last week’s 1-0 win over Grimsby with another in front of the home crowd at the Peninsula Stadium.
The Ammies sit 10th, five points off Colchester in seventh and will look to kickstart a late push for the playoffs.
