Salford soap stars from Coronation Street are to take part in a new live show that will come to the Lowry this autumn.
Hosted by This Morning’s soap expert Sharon Marshall, An Audience with Coronation Street will include an interview session with famous faces from the show.
Residents in Salford will be able to visit the new live show and see local Corrie stars Andrew Whyment and Samia Longchambon participate in the evening.
Andrew Whyment, who has been on the show since 2000 playing the character Kirk Sutherland, was trained at the Laine Johnson Theatre School in Salford.
Whyment was also best known for his appearance on the nineteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! where he finished in second place.
While Samia Longchambon was born in Eccles and has been a season regular since 2000 playing the role of Maria Connor.
The pair will be joined on stage by a variety of names that will include Jack P Shepherd (David Platt), Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald), and Jimmi Harkishin (Dev Alahan).
Names such as Jodie Prenger (Glenda Shuttleworth), Rob Mallard (Daniel Osbourne) and Patti Clare (Mary Taylor), will also be involved.
The second act will involve a special guest taking to the stage, with each show to included five Coronation Street stars, including the surprise star.
The live show will follow the 2006 programme called An Audience With Coronation Street, which aired the cast of the long-running soap uniting in musical numbers and behind the scenes footage.

Throughout the duration of the tour, the Coronation Street stars will visit the Lyric Theatre in The Lowry, Salford, on September 20.
As well as visit the Dominion Theatre in London on September 14, before travelling to Sheffield for a night at the City Hall on September 19, as well as Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on September 24.
Tickets are priced from £29.50 and go on sale on Friday March 14 at 10am – with cast members varying for each show and more names will be announced soon
