Salford City will be hoping to return to winning ways this weekend as they take on Crewe Alexandra at the Peninsula Stadium.

The Ammies who have struggled to find form this calendar year, will be hoping to reignite their season with a victory against a team pushing for promotion.

Karl Robinsons’ side were in the running for the playoff positions at the end of 2024, however, with only three victories in the league in 2025 they have slowly fallen away from the top eight positions.

The Ammies currently sit in 11th and will be hoping that three points will be once again make them contenders for a chance of promotion.

Salford City will also be looking to improve on their previous outing against Swindon Town, where they drew 2-2 away from home.

The Ammies were able to fight their way back into the fixture, securing an important 2-2 draw with Hakeeb Adelakun and Kelly N’mai getting on the scoresheet.

The Salford goal scorers saw Adelakun nominated for player of the month, and N’mai shortlisted in team of the week.

And head coach, Karl Robinson will be hoping that the players form can convert these performances into three points.

However, this will be no easy task with Crewe Alexandra sitting six points ahead of the Ammies, picking seven points in the last four fixtures.

Although Lee Bell’s side will be walking into the fixture, coming off the back of a 4-1 defeat to Fleetwood Town.

Despite Crewe holding majority of the ball, they were dismantled by Fleetwood who were leading 4-0 until the 91st minute, with Chris Long scoring a consolation goal.

And following the defeat, Salford supporters should anticipate that the away side will be looking to come to the Peninsula Stadium to bounce-back and hold their position in the race for promotion.

The fixture should be a close contest with the teams sharing a 1-1 draw earlier on in the campaign – and with only twelve games left both sides will be hoping to secure three points to continue the push for the playoffs.

The game will commence at 3pm at the Peninsula Stadium, and the Ammies will be hoping to avoid dropping into the bottom half of the league.
