A Salford College further education group has received prestigious awards in two highly esteemed categories.
Salford City College Group, which encompasses a variety of colleges across the city, has been named the winner of two accolades at the Association of Colleges (AoC) Beacon Awards.
The college has been recognised for “its exceptional commitment to education, innovation and student success.”
The AoC Beacon Awards celebrates excellence in the further education sector across the UK and aims to highlight institutions that “drive positive change.”
They have awarded Salford City College Group the City and Guilds Award for College Engagement with Employers, which is given to a group which champions strong and sustainable partnerships with employers.
During the awards, they were also able to celebrate the college’s efforts to providing work-based learning opportunities, and enhanced career prospects.
The Salford further education group has also received the NOCN Award for Mental Health and Wellbeing for its “dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that prioritises the mental health and wellbeing of students and staff.”
Following the success of the award Rebecca Parks, Group Principal of Salford City College Group, said: “Winning these two prestigious awards is a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication of our staff, students, and industry partners.

The College also thanked its “dedicated staff, students, and industry partners” for their work in “making this achievement possible.”
As well as crediting the commitment to excellence as they drive the College forward, reinforcing its position as a leader in further education.
