Coronation Street are set to film scenes at Higher Irlam Social Club, Turner Avenue, Cutnook Lane and Moorfield Road on March 10.
The scenes shot in Higher Irlam Social Club are to be shot between 8am and 1pm predominantly taking place in the beer garden and side alley towards the private car park.
Louise Russell, one of the unit managers, explained the choice of the location for the shoot.
“We like to use local places to film in so that the funds can go directly there and a lot of the time we can donate to communities. That’s kind of what we aim to do when we are out and about filming in these areas.”
Set up and go traffic management systems will be set up on Turner Avenue, Cutnook Lane and Moorfield Road to ensure safety of the public and crew due to a police chase scene.
Cutnook Avenue’s set up and go traffic management system will take place between 8am and 1pm and Turner Avenue’s is set to take place between 2-4pm. Moorfield Road shares both of these times.
Traffic will be held for a maximum of three minutes at a time, anyone walking by may be asked to wait for a couple of minutes until it is safe to proceed.
In Turner Avenue, residents may also be asked to remove their car away from this area and will be compensated.
The shooting area is to be coned of the night before, with there being security presence on the day.

Ms Russell said: “People are generally quite happy to see us there, we try and be as respectful as we possibly can and we have a lot of engagement with the residency nearby to make sure they are happy with what we are doing in the area.”
