Salford City will travel to face Port Vale this weekend in the hope of reigniting their playoff and promotion ambitions.
The Ammies will head to Vale Park hoping to turn their form after only winning once in the last seven fixtures.
Karl Robinson’s side recent form saw the Ammies go four games unbeaten, winning once and draw four times before last weekend’s narrow defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
The Ammies despite their chances were bested by the home side, who were able to score in the second half and threaten again by hitting the post.
However, after the disappointment in dropping three points Salford City will be hoping to lift themselves back up into the promotion places.
Salford City have a chance to maintain pressure on Crewe Alexandra, who sit one point above them, after playing one extra fixture.
And Karl Robinsons’ side will be hoping to secure all three points after losing 2-0 at home to Port Vale earlier in the season.
A win for the Ammies will also allow them to get one point behind Port Vale, who currently sit four points ahead of Salford.

Port Vale will be hoping to continue their strong form, with the club starting 2025 without a league defeat since December 29, 2024.
Under the guidance of Darren Moore, the club have continued to climb the league table and have nestled themselves into the playoff places.
The Valliant’s will also be coming into the game with confidence and hoping to move one step closer to the automatic promotion spots.
And Darren Moore’s side will be hoping to capitalise on this opportunity with a win against Salford City, after beating fellow promotion rival Notts County last weekend.
Despite having less of the ball and chances, Port Vale were able to steal a 1-0 victory and close the gap to the team in fourth to two points.
And with game in hand, Port Vale fans will be hoping to secure another three points that will put them in touching distance of third place Doncaster Rovers.
With both teams walking into the game with something to play for, it really will be tight contest and exciting watch at Vale Park.
The game will kick off on Saturday 22 February at 3pm – with more information about the fixture here.
