Salford Red Devils to host Bradford Bulls in the Challenge Cup Fourth Round

Salford Red Devils fate for the next round of the Challenge Cup has been decided as they have drawn Bradford Bulls.

The Red Devils will play the Bulls in the fourth round after beating the Midlands Hurricanes 10-46, after a dominant second half.

For Red Devils fans, they would have been more focused on the fixture against St Helens, with the draw being conducted at half-time.

The draw was conducted by Lance Todd Trophy winner, Robbie Hunter-Paul and two-time Man of Steel, Paul Sculthorpe MBE.

The fans will want to turn their attention away from the weekends result, and focus on more positive prospects, with a hopeful trip to Wembley.

The Red Devils will be looking to bounce back in the Challenge Cup as they host the Bradford Bulls at the Salford Community Stadium on the weekend of March 14 to 16.

The Bradford Bulls were able to book their place in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup after a memorable but anxious 18-16 victory against Castleford Tigers.

The Brian Noble’s men withstood a late comeback to land their place in the last 16 – after leading 17-0 at half time. 

Tries from James Donaldson, Joe Keyes, Tom Holmes, two goals from James Meadows and drop goals by Joe Keyes, and Jordan Lilley proved to be the difference.

And the Bulls will be walking into the fixture optimistic with the Red Devils proving to still have financial troubles.

Bradford have so far been relentless this season beating Doncaster 30-4 in Round Two of the Challenge Cup, and London Broncos 20-6 so far in the campaign, as well as the victory over Castleford.

The confidence of the squad will certainly be one that Paul Rowley’s side will have to look out for if they intend on booking their place in the quarter-finals.
