Salford forward Hakeeb Adelakun has been listed on the Sky Bet League Two Team of the Week.
The Ammies forward has been in impressive form in recent weeks, and has proved his ability lifting the club back into the play off positions.
Adelakun was able to scoring a brace against Tranmere Rovers, helping his side into seventh place and continue the promotion push.
The two quick goals in the fixture, was a testament to his efforts for the club showing his class since for the club scoring four times in the last four fixtures.
Goals against Newport County, Walsall and Tranmere have helped the club to get five points – and he is proving himself and winning over the fans since his arrival.
Joining on a free transfer from Lincoln City last season, the left winger has continued to turn heads, scoring seven in his last 14 and chasing top scorer Cole Stockton, who sits just above him with nine.
Fans on social media have said: “He is the Haksaw from now on, he cuts defences for fun.”
With quick feet and chemistry across the board with this Salford side Adelakun has been an exciting watch, with another 7.3 rating against Bromley earlier in the week.
Manager, Karl Robinson was also singing his praises after the game in his post-match interview he said: “He’s a wonderful player, does he frustrate people at times yeah, but that what them type of players do. I think the output from him today was very very good.”
And the Ammies will be hoping the highly rated forward will continue to maintain this recent form, as Salford City prepare for a huge away fixture against fifth place AFC Wimbledon.
The club will be needing everyone in form, and will hope that Hakeeb Adelakun will sustain shape, in a push for promotion.
