Although Paul Rowley’s will have to be cautious, as the home side will be high in confidence after beating Siddal ARLFC 46-0 in the second round.
Throughout the fixture, the Hurricanes were able to dominate the travelling side, almost seeing themselves three scores ahead inside of twenty minutes.
And the commanding lead continued to grow, going in at halftime leading 18-0.
The Hurricanes showed true confidence in the second half, winning 46-0, with Jake Sweeting, Aaron Willis, Danny Barcoe, Tom Wilkinson, Matty Chrimes, Todd Horner, Ellis Hobson and Aiden Roden all scoring tries.
This sharp form will be something to consider, with the Red Devils walking into the game with rust, as their last competitive fixture was a Super League Qualifier against Leigh Leopards.
Paul Rowley’s side had the ambition of reaching the Super League Grand Final, but were sadly defeated by the Leopards fixture 6-14, narrowly avoiding the semi-finals.
The Salford-based club have a lot of history in the competition, formerly lifting the Challenge Cup in the 1937-38 season, and reaching the finals on eight different occasions.
Nonetheless, the game will be a very exciting opportunity for both teams and will be a great showing for the fans with the journey to the final beginning now.
