A former Salford Red Devils academy prospect was able to have the perfect debut after getting a first round stoppage in the Professional Fighter’s League.
Haider Khan won in his debut Middleweight Professional Fighter’s League (PFL) MMA match with a kick that ended in an Technical Knockout stoppage.
The kick, landed towards the end of the first-round, broke opponent Mostafa Nada’s arm, which led to referee Mike Bell stopping the fight.
The fight ended following the ref decision, with the kick being enough to call the contest with one minute 46 seconds remaining in the round.
Khan who was the heavier fighter, weighed in at 185.5lbs (84.1kg), compared to Nada who weighed in just under at 184.6lbs (83.7kg).
The reach, length and height were also in favour for the former Red Devils prospect, having a four inch height difference over the Saudi fighter, and a five inch difference in reach.
Khan, who before this fight had a record of 8-1, has now advanced his fighting record to 9-1.
The victory has also advanced his fighter rank across the European MMA rankings to #319 in Europe.

British boxing legend, Amir Khan, commented on Haider Khan’s performance after the fight and said: “Guys a beast, the guy is an animal, he said he heard the click and the breaking of the bone, he looked in great shape and was solid.”
The 35-year-old has received a lot of praise for his performance and quick victory, and will certainly be looking ahead to his next professional fight.
