Salford City are preparing to travel to Cheltenham as they aim to return back to winning ways after back to back defeats.
The Ammies will be travelling 138 miles hoping to get their first win coming off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Fleetwood Town.
Salford will be looking to bounce-back in the league against Cheltenham, a side that they are unbeaten against in the previous two meetings.
The Ammies will be looking ahead to the away trip with not so distant memories of their FA Cup 2nd Round victory at The EV Charger Points Stadium.
Salford City will also be the more confident of the two sides, with their league form proving that they are worthy outfit, with only one league defeat in the last five.
The Ammies will also be hoping to avoid defeat this weekend, last losing three on the bounce back in back in April 2024.
A win will return Karl Robinson’s side back in the hunt for promotion, with the Ammies only two points off the automatic promotion places.
However, the Ammies will have an uphill battle coming off the back off two defeats, conceding 10 goals during that time.
Salford fans will be hoping to forget about the 8-0 hammering from Manchester City, but would be gutted to have lost the following fixture against Fleetwood 2-0.
The Ammies would have been looking to regain form and maintain their promotion push, but were sadly two goals behind within 11 minutes.
Salford City were stunned two minutes into the fixture, conceding a scrambled chance from a free kick – the effort was scooped into the net by Ronan Coughlan for his seventh of the game
With the Ammies quickly a second goal behind through the work of winger Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu.
Karl Robinson will also be without Kylian Kouassi, after he received a second yellow, as the home side finished with 10-men – adding to the numerous injuries that the club have already acquired.
However, despite the worries for Salford City – the Ammies will be the more confident side of the two.
Cheltenham will be walking into this game currently 15th in the league, separated by 11 points from their weekend opposition.
The Robins and manager Michael Flynn will be hoping to their fortunes around, with the club last winning on Boxing Day against Crewe Alexandra.
And with two postponed fixtures over the winter period, the Robins will be walking into the game with fresher legs – which seemed to be an advantage for Fleetwood last weekend.
With only one win in five, there will be more pressure on the Michael Flynn’s side to win the game and return back into the top of the division.
All the action will kickoff at 3pm at The EV Charger Points Stadium with either side hoping to return to winning ways.
