A double injury blow has hit Salford City wtih 20-year-old winger Kelly Nmai being ruled out for the remainder of the season and midfielder Ossama Ashley being hurt in training.

Nmai, who has been an important part of Salford’s push for promotion this season, chalking up three goals and three assists in 20 games, picked up a knee injury in December.

Ashley, 24, has also been a standout player for the Ammies this season, appearing in 23 of the club’s 25 league games, and weighing in with three assists. He is now set for up to eight weeks on the sidelines after picking up a calf injury during training.
