Developments on Monton Green - Google Maps

Residents of Salford could see some delays as roadworks are set to start on Monton Green in 2025 lasting for eight weeks.

The roadworks will take place between Monton Green Roundabout and Egerton Road, and will take place for eight weeks.

The Salford City Council announced that the development will begin on Thursday 2 January 2025, and will continue until February 21.

Residents in the area should expect traffic restrictions in place throughout the duration of the works, including weekends as work is underway to install gas mains upgrades.

The restrictions will be in place throughout the duration of the works, including weekends, and will aim to keep delays to a minimum.

Work for the changes along the road  will be Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 5.30pm – with multiway temporary traffic lights and lane closures in place.

The plan will aim to keep traffic restrictions to a minimum outside of the working hours and at weekends but may not always be possible.

Throughout the duration of the developments footways closure along the road, but they will be phased accordingly throughout the works.

Residents should also be made aware that the two bus stops near Park Drive in both directions will be suspended – and are encouraged to plan their journeys.

During the work period over the eight weeks, side roads will also be closed but staggered throughout the development.

The plans will include Park Drive and Grange Drive being closed between 13 to 17 January.

Broad Oak Park will also be closed from 20 to 25 January, Egerton Road will be closed from 17 to 19 February.

Park Road will also be closed from 19 to 21 February, however, access will be maintained at all times but there may be hold-ups while the area is made safe to pass.
