The giant projection-based artwork that has been installed at MediaCity has been given an extension for another week.
The artwork that incorporates a video projection using a mist of water as a screen will continue to be on display.
The display will be on show on the water of the Quays to enjoy the spectacular experience until Sunday 22 December.
The artwork otherwise known as Monad made by Anastasia Isachsen is a 30-meter-wide light and water projection that will be seen across the water from MediaCity.
The original Lightwaves show was the 11th annual light experience at MediaCity, and was held across Thursday 5 December to Sunday 8 December, with the light experience taking over MediaCity, with a fully accessible two-kilometre route around Salford Quays.
Guests were able to explore the installations and walk the 2km trail to see the artists work from across Europe.
However, one installation has remained, as Monad will remain open to Salford residents to experience free of charge from 4pm to 10pm in MediaCity every night until Sunday.
The installation will be accompanied by a deeply emotional musical composition by the renowned jazz composer Arve Henriksen.
The water display, Monad, is part of the Quays Culture Programme, a partnership initiative on a mission to animate public spaces, bringing art and culture events into the heart of the community for everyone to experience.
More information can be found here – with guests in Salford being able to visit the display until Sunday 22 December.
