Salford Red Devils trials

Salford Red Devils have announced that the University of Salford will be on the front of shirt ahead of the 2025 campaign.

The logo will feature on the Red Devils playing shirts for the Men’s, Women’s, and Reserves teams for next season.

The University who have been a partner of the rugby league club  for 15 years will sit in the centre of the clubs shirt.

The continued partnership will represent a long-term, strategic collaboration between the two – and aims to display the relationship between the Salford community.

The front shirt print will add as an extension to the partnership – as the collaboration will see the two organisations share resources.

The shared resources will include the University’s cutting-edge facilities, to support medical, performance, and commercial teams.

Following the announcement, COO of Salford Red Devils, Claire Butters said: “Our partnership with the University is a clear signal of our commitment to being a Salford-first organisation.

“That’s a mindset shared by both organisations which makes the partnership so perfect. There is a genuine desire to make a positive impact together on and off the field.”

The positive impact on and off the field will be apparent – with students being able to access hands-on experience across various roles, from sports science to media and event management.

And will allow the Red Devils to benefit from the research and innovation the University brings.

This was encouraged by Julie Charge, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Salford, who said: “Supporting our creative and cultural economy is a central piece of our agreement as a civic university.

“Supporting anchor organisations like Salford Red Devils to ensure the club can continue its valuable work at the heart of our community is an integral part of our commitment.”

The partnership will aim to strengthen the on-field ambitions of the club as they head into 2025, but also will look to make a real difference in the community.
