The upcoming snooker exhibition night where John Higgins will join the club, will take place Friday 14 March 2025.

A limited number of tickets are currently on sale for £30 per person, available to purchase at the club. A £25 offer is currently up for grabs if booked before Friday 25 January.

The World Champion will be present throughout the night and will play the winner of a raffle.

The snooker exhibition will see eight places available to play Higgins for £100 per ticket and 2 places on the night via a raffle ticket.

Both events will start at 7 pm and go on until ‘late’, non – members are always welcome.

High-level amateur nooker player and club member Josh Thomond explained how the events are usually structured, he said: “At around half seven, the player will probably come out, do a bit of a walk out and they get a welcome into the club , like you would at an arena.”

He also talks about how participants can enjoy a personal interaction with the Snooker legends.

“We’ve got an academy at our club, The North West Jr Snooker Academy, and these events inspire the players for one, and to be able to get some of the best players in the world in our club in Salford, it’s really amazing.”

The Academy is run by Reg Davies, who has been a snooker coach for 70 years. Members from the Academy join the events to learn new skills and unwind.

He continued: “At the exhibitions, you have the opportunity to meet these talented players, and these are the people you see on TV.

“Guests can interact with them and it’s a great opportunity for everyone.

“When we had Mark Williams, he had a drink with the guests. It’s kind of a bit more of a personal exhibition, where you have the chance on the opportunity to get to know the players beyond the sport.

“Some of the players are open to playing a short frame with the younger lads, and they’ll do it. So, it’s perfect for the youth and it’s perfect for the adults. Everyone gets involved and they love it, both the players and the guests.”

“It’s always a brilliant night and people come back every time we have an exhibition because they enjoy it so much, there’s never a dull moment!”
