The programme for a Green Summit has been unveiled ahead of the regional event at Salford Quays.
The event at the Lowry on December 9 will offer a range of sessions and workshops for delegates to meet and network.
The Green Summit will be led by Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham as it is being used to share the region’s ambitious environmental goals.
The summit will offer something for everyone with 16 workshops and seven main sessions.
The initial welcome session is set to begin at 9.30am, with the announcement of Greater Manchester’s five-year environmental plan at 10.20am.
A Salford resident quizzed the Mayor on the radio over his efforts to tackle climate change ahead of the event.
Burnham told BBC Radio Manchester residents had to stick to the course of a Net-Zero City-Region.
He said: “If we do it right, it leads to good homes, good transport and good jobs for our kids.”
The summit will be the fifth consecutive event held at the Lowry Theatre, and has been chosen for its active and sustainable travel options for guests across region.
Last year, the summit discussed climate change with the conversations surrounding Greater Manchester’s transport link, the Bee Network.
And this year, the event will discuss the Greater Manchester 2040 transport strategy and the region’s ambition to be net zero by 2038.
The event offers young people a scavenger hunt and an exhibition on Youth Focus in the North West, and will be a great opportunity to network.
The summit was offered as a free event, but all tickets are now sold out.
The main sessions will be livestreamed throughout the day for those unable to attend.
