This year will see local businesses celebrated in the annual Christmas event the Monton Jingle Mingle.
The event will look to celebrate multiple businesses in the area and highlight all their hard work throughout the year.
The event hosted by the Monton Village Community Association will occur on November 25 and will be sponsored by several businesses that have been kind enough to sponsor.
The variety of businesses includes the Blue Moon Monton, Village Nails, and Twig Monton.
Village Nails is one of the shops that are involved, and have been a shop in Monton for 23 years and they are keen to contribute to making Monton a better place.
One worker said, “It’s always been so pretty, especially at Christmas, and we want to help with this.”
The Monton Village Community Association have been working hard leading up to the event focusing on the new Christmas lights pledge.
With the help of Salford City City Council, there will be new additions to the light display as well as last year’s favourites making an appearance.
The Monton Mingle Jingle will also feature the grand reveal that will take place this weekend.
As the Monton Village Community Association explained: “We promised to build on Monton’s lights legacy.
“We had plans to do so much more, but we’ve now reached the limit of those funds”. They have encouraged the community to help raise funds for 2025″.
The event has lots to offer this year, from yummy food, exciting entertainment, festive crafts and a global favourite, mulled wine.
There will be something for everyone, with a range of activities, and an opportunity to purchase a bottle of the Monton gin, created by the Ancoats Distillery at the event (one of the sponsors).
Monton Village community on Facebook, said, “It’s the perfect gift for you or a loved one”.
The event is in collaboration with the Unitarian Church, with the Bluebell having been kind enough to sponsor the church entrance this year.
The event will be a celebration of business across Monton and will be an exciting time as they build up to the grand reveal of Monton’s lights.
