Salford Quays is set to be visited by TikTok’s ‘Spud Bros’ as a part of a 30-hour spud-a-thon.

Both ‘bros’ Jacob and Harvey Nelson will be selling their jacket potatoes at MediaCity on Friday November 15 between 10am and 5pm.

The brothers from Preston currently have three million followers and 108 million likes on the social media site designed to popularise jacket potatoes.

They have seen people travel from all over the world to their van in Preston.

The pair run the Hot Potato Tram that has been serving up hot potatoes to customers in Preston since 1955.

They took over the tram a year ago from their dad, who is known now as Spud Dad.

They upgraded the tram recently after a boost in sales, making it larger to allow themselves to keep up with the growing demand and take it on the road.

As one of the Spud Bros Jacob explained: “We will be doing a pop-up Spud-a-thon at MediaCity in Salford, starting Friday morning from 10am to 5pm.”
