Pub landlord, Daniel Howell, said: “The open mic night is run by local lad called Sean Duffy, we run this night to get all kinds of people in who want to try out and perform for the first time or just want to get up and do it.

He continued: “With the hypnosis night we wanted to try something a little different as we usually have singers in a Saturday night but it’s not what the community really want every week.

“We asked the customers what they would like to see and they said just something different that other people have not got on.”

In regards to the community, he said: “The community should come down to these events to support their local and to enjoy themselves. The Stocks Hotel is a massive part of the community and has been for many years where people come to relax, enjoy themselves and socialise, we welcome all”.
