Salford Red Devils have received the lowest score out of the Super League clubs following the recent IMG grading.
The IMG results were released today, (Wednesday 23 October) and saw the Red Devils receive the lowest in the league with a score of 13.97.
The IMG Grading is based on the 12 teams across a range of criteria, including fandom, on-field performance, finance, stadium and community.
The incentive of the grading was introduced to “grow their fanbase, grow top-line non-centralised revenue” and “invest both in their club and the sport in a sustainable manner, and to ensure strong governance.”
The new grading system has been introduced ahead of next season, and would determine promotion or relegation from 2025 onwards.
The concerns come for the club as they narrowly avoided relegation after the Championship side, Toulouse Olympique scored just 0.39 points less than them.
The Red Devils have been transparent about their scoring, after being one of three clubs to receive a Grade B, – including Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants.
And despite the Red Devils finishing sixth, seventh and fourth in the past three seasons of Super League, their off-field issues have hindered their overall score.
Following the released scores Salford Red Devils have shared their response, they said: “As a Club, we recognise the areas that require improvement and are actively working to address them, reinforced by the recent announcement of our leadership restructure.”
Salford Red Devils have been awarded an overall grade of 13.97 in IMG Grading, securing a place in next season’s Betfred Super League.

The club has seen a reshape to make themselves more financially credible for the future as they hope to build on and off the field.
This was continued as they said: “As a community-owned club, we are committed to representing the City of Salford at the elite level of Rugby League.
“We remain optimistic about the positive impact of our ongoing efforts, as we strive to build a sustainable and commercially viable organisation.”
The club have shared that the time taken for the stadium deal to be made has hindered their progress and projected grade.
Salford Red Devils have shared that the things will begin to change, as they said: “We can now look forward to an imminent stadium agreement with Salford City Council removing the limitations in both the Finance and Stadium criteria.”
The Red Devils have shared that despite the results they are “fully committed” to growing the club not only for the league position but the city of Salford.
