The magic of the FA Cup is back in Salford after the first round draw was completed last night.
The historical competition comes to the Peninsula Stadium, as Salford City have been drawn against League 1 side Shrewsbury Town.
The matches will be across the weekend of November 2, with the exact timing of the Salford tie yet to be announced.
The club will host Shrewsbury Town as the look to advance into the second round for the first ever time in their history.
The two sides have met only once before – in the first round of the 2018/19 edition of the FA Cup.
We will confirm more details for our Emirates FA Cup First Round tie against Shrewsbury Town once the fixture has been arranged.
The tie will take place across the weekend of Saturday 2nd November 2024.#SALSHR

The Ammies travelled away to Shropshire for the cup fixture, and were able to secure a replay following a 1-1 draw.
However, after getting the reverse fixture back at their home ground Salford lost the replay.
Manager Karl Robinson will be hoping to have a change in fortunes.
A victory will see the Ammies move one step closer to the ambition of any small club in the competition, reaching the “promised land” of the FA Cup third round, when the Premier League sides enter the draw.
