Salford City FC’s official charity Foundation 92 has been shortlisted for two North West Football Awards in this year’s ceremony.
The foundation has been able to be nominated by the NWFA this year for two categories for their 17th annual awards.
The two categories include Community Club of the Season, and the Women in Football Promoting Inclusion Award.
The event is set to take place at Emirates Old Trafford on Monday 25 November, and will aim to celebrate footballing excellence in the 2024-25 season.
Last seasons event saw over 500 football people come together to celebrate the achievements within the beautiful game.
And the nomination of Foundation 92 is certainly one of great importance to the charity and all the community work they do within the city.
The Foundation 92 aims to improve the lives of those in the community through support, and is involved in many projects across Salford.
The charity group focus on a variety of activites that include education, health and wellbeing, and community engagement.
And the excitement for the club cannot be overstated, with players also receiving nominations for the awards this year.

With three Ammies players were shortlisted for playing awards: Matt Smith for League Two Player of the Year 2023-24, and Junior Luamba up for the Rising Star award.
With Salford Lionesses Tamzin Gallagher also being awarded a nomination for Women’s Rising Star.
Last season former Salford player, Elliot Watt also was also nominated for the award, and successfully winning Player of the Season for League Two – hopefully the same fortune can be found for Matt Smith.
Votes will open for the players today from 5pm onwards here, with fans being able to cast their votes on the Salford players to hopefully collect more of the awards.
Ahead of the exciting news Laura Wolfe of the NWFA said, “It has been another incredibly impressive year for our football clubs.
“Our Northwest clubs are truly at the heart of their communities and the standard of work and array of entries submitted in the community categories made the judges’ task of selecting this year’s winners extremely difficult.”
She continued to add: “We are and always have been committed to supporting the amazing work going on in our football clubs
“And celebrating our footballing heroes, both on and off the pitch, and this year will be no different.”
