A 53-year-old woman has sadly died after a “tragic accident” at Salford Quays last week.
Police were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a woman at Salford Quays on August 13 around 12.10pm. A cordon was then put in place just over the water from Old Trafford football ground.
Emergency services quickly attended and she was taken out of the water. Police vans, an ambulance and an Incident Response Unit all attended the scene.
