There will be a mixer event this August at Islington Mill for Salford creatives who want to meet like-minded people.
The first event will take place at the mill on James Street on Wednesday August 28, 6pm – 9pm. This is the first in a series of events happening across Salford over the next six months for creatives living and or working in the city.
The event, which is being delivered by GMCA Culture Team and Salford Culture Place Partnership, will be asking creatives to tell them what they need to live, thrive and sustain work as a creative in Salford. The team claim they want to develop a network of support that works for creatives.
There will be free food & drinks from Mirage Bar and Deli Llama Whole Food Cafe with entertainment from local talent R’Monah and Mistique (DJ).
Entry to the event is free but it is ticketed so residents must book their ticket in advance. For more information and tickets, click here.
Islington Mill is a Grade II-listed, six-storey Georgian mill building located in Ordsall. The mill lends its name to the two organisations that reside there: Islington Mill Arts Club and Islington Mill Foundation.
