A woman is in a critical condition after she was pulled out of the water at Salford Quays today.
Police say they were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a woman at Salford Quays around 12.10pm.
Emergency services quickly attended and she was taken out of the water. Police vans, an ambulance and an Incident Response Unit have all attended the scene.
A GMP spokesperson said: “At around 12.10 today (Tuesday August 13) we were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a woman at Salford Quays. Emergency services attended and a woman was taken out of the water.
“She has been taken to hospital where she remains in critical condition. Enquiries are ongoing.”
The police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service have all been approached for comment. This article will be updated with any further news.
