Firefighters raced to Liverpool Road last night as a single decker bus burst into flames.
At around 9:30pm two fire engines were called to attend a fire involving a single decker bus on Liverpool Road in Eccles.
Crews arrived quickly and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. The firefighters ensued the surrounding area was safe before leaving the scene.
There have been no injuries reported to Salford Now.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Shortly after 9:30pm last night (Monday 22 July), two fire engines from Stretford and Eccles fire stations were called to attend a vehicle fire involving a single decker bus on Liverpool Road, Eccles.
“Crews arrived quickly and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Firefighters made the area safe before departing after approximately an hour at the scene.”
