Detectives have launched an appeal following the ‘serious’ armed robbery of Costcutter on Worsley Road in Eccles.
A member of the public was injured during the incident which took place this week on Tuesday (July 9) at around 5.30pm. Thankfully, the injuries are not life threatening.
Officers were called to the scene after receiving an alarm activation of the armed robbery on Worsley Road.
No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and identify those responsible.
Detective Inspector Zoe Marsden, from the City of Salford investigation team, said: “Since we were alerted to the incident, we have been working hard to identify all available lines of enquiry to find those responsible.
“This was a serious criminal act that took place where they had no regard for the safety of the staff or members of the public who were in the premises at the time.
“We are appealing to anyone in the area at the time who may know or have witnessed something, including any relevant dashcam footage to come forward in confidence.
