'incident' in Little Hulton

A 55-year-old man has been taken to hospital as police respond to an ‘incident’ in Little Hulton.

The ‘incident’ happened today (Friday June 28) on Manchester Road East in Little Hulton. A 55-year-old man has been taken to hospital with injuries that are thankfully not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

A scene has been put in place to understand the circumstances and additional officers have been deployed to the area.

A section 60 has been authorised to cover Mort Lane railway Bridge, east along the railway boundary towards Hilton Lane, Ellesmere Street, Ridgard street, Eastham way, Cleggs Lane, Old lane, Captain Fold, Manchester Road, Kenyon Way, Armitage Avenue, to Mort Lane.

Under Section 60, officers have extra powers to stop and search people in a defined area within the specific times listed. It will be in place until 11am tomorrow (Saturday June 29).
