Broadoak Primary School in Swinton has received an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating in their latest inspection this month.
The Ofsted report determined that pupils are happy and flourish at this “exceptionally caring school”. The report further stated the school sets the highest expectations for pupils in all aspects of school life and pupils are eager to do their best.
Pupils enjoy an abundance of wider curriculum opportunities, such as residential visits, clubs, trips and visitors.
The inspection looked at quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years provision.
Headteacher Karen Wild said: “We’re delighted to receive this outstanding rating from Ofsted. It recognises the hard work of the whole school community which enables our pupils to flourish and thrive.
“We are immensely proud of this achievement and remain committed to sustaining excellence, ensuring that our children continue to receive an outstanding educational experience and one that prepares them for future success.”
The report further determined that the curriculum is well structured and builds progressively. The school is ambitious for pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). According to the report, it has carefully considered how to overcome the barriers to learning that some pupils face. Pupils experience carefully crafted lessons.
Melissa Caslake, Executive Director of Children’s Services at Salford City Council, said: “We’d like to congratulate Broadoak School for this huge achievement.
“It is a great example of a school which cares about the welfare and education of each and every child and this is reflected in how the children and teachers feel about their experience there.”
