Emergency services sadly recovered a body from the water at the Salford Quays over the weekend.
Police have confirmed that at around 4.15am on Sunday morning (June 23), they received a report of a man in the water at Salford Quays.
Emergency services quickly attended but sadly, the body of the man was later recovered from the water.
Following the emergency, the area was taped off and Metrolink services were suspended between Pomona and Harbour City.
His family are currently being supported by specialist officers from the force.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances at this time and enquiries are ongoing.
