There will be 27 homes in Little Hulton available this year for shared ownership and ‘affordable’ rent.
This comes after the housing association Great Places Housing Group recently snapped up 27 shared ownership homes at The Fairways development in Brackley Village, Little Hulton.
The Fairways development, which is managed by Sigma under its Simple Life Homes private rental brand, features a total of 138 sector homes and 180 open market homes sold by the house-building company Vistry Group.
The recent purchase brings Great Places’ ownership at this Little Hulton development site to 27 homes. The first completions of the homes at The Fairways will be in the summer of 2024, according to Great Places.
The Manchester-based housing group has bought 51 homes in total from two development sites in Salford and Rochdale.
In Rochdale, Great Places has bought 24 homes at Vistry’s Calico Grove development in Castleton.
Nick Gornall, director of development at Great Places, added: “Affordable housing continues to be a key priority in all of the areas we operate in, and Vistry shares our ongoing commitment to creating great homes across a wide variety of communities.
“Our acquisition of 27 shared ownership homes at The Fairways and 24 homes at Calico Grove is part of this commitment to provide much-needed affordable housing options.”
Joe Turner, managing director of Vistry Manchester and Cheshire East, stated: “Both of our organisations are committed to delivering more mixed-tenure, affordable homes, and by working together on these two sites we can offer more housing choices to local people and help meet Greater Manchester’s pressing need for affordable housing.”
