A man from Clifton has been jailed for two years after drugs and numerous cannabis-based items were discovered in his property.

When officers entered Rowell Scott’s (36) property on Clively Avenue on February 15, Scott immediately confessed to having a quantity of cannabis in the wardrobe.

Scott added that “I’ve been caught red-handed”.

In addition, around 300 vapes containing THC were discovered, a small amount of crack cocaine and heroin, and £1,867 in loose cash. Various other drug paraphernalia, including scales and bags, were additionally recovered.

Scott was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison for money laundering and possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs at a hearing at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday (May 30). He had earlier pleaded guilty to the offences.
