Two men in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a firearms discharge on Aspinall Crescent.
At around 9.30pm on Sunday evening (May 26) police received reports of a suspected firearms discharge at a property on the Salford estate.
Emergency services attended and a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Since the incident, two men in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of attempt murder and they remain in custody for further questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Humphreys of GMP’s Salford district, said: “Our enquiries will remain ongoing until we have managed to gain a full understanding of the timeline of events.
“Extra patrol officers both on foot and in cars have been deployed around the local area. If you have any concerns about this incident our officers will be happy to provide reassurance and listen to any of your queries.
