The new pizzeria on Blackfriars Road, Conni’s Pizzeria, is owned by 22-year-old Francesco Fumo and his family.

Francesco left his job as a mechanical engineer in 2022 to focus on making his family’s dream of owning a restaurant a reality. He then launched Conni’s Focacceria, a bakery and deli just five minutes down the road from the new pizzeria.
Francesco told Salford Now that when he first opened Conni’s Focacceria a year and a half ago, the family were using their own plates from his mother’s kitchen.
As of this month after opening his pizzeria, he is now the proud owner of two successful businesses on Blackfriars Road.
Francesco claims his menu features the “best pizza in Manchester” which is quite the claim knowing his local competitors like Rudy’s and Honest Crust.
His menu features the ‘world’s spiciest pizza’ and also the usual crowd-pleasers like the Margherita and the Marinara.
