There are a variety of events happening for this month and May at the Salford Quays ranging from children’s discos to morning yoga classes.
Salford Quays is home to the rebound Lowry Theatre, MediaCity, The Imperial War Museum, Coronation Street and its newest addition, Central Bay.
Since its opening last September, Central Bay has been a social hub for members of the public, offering an array of different cuisines from over 20 vendors, alongside providing entertainment and a lively atmosphere.
Here’s what’s happening in Central Bay at The Lowry Shopping Centre this spring.
Digital Darts and Shuffleboards at 11 Central
As part of its entertainment offering, Salford’s state of the art microbrewery, 11 Central (in Central Bay), has launched digital darts and a brand new shuffleboard.
These sessions can be enjoyed by groups of up to eight people above the age of 15, and start from £6 per person Monday-Thursday, and £8 per person Friday-Sunday.

House Socials – Hot House – every last Thursday of the month 3pm – 6pm
Also recently introduced, taking place on the last Thursday of every month is Hot Socials, located at Hot House, Media City.
From 3pm-6pm you can enjoy Ailsa Mclaggan serving up solid gold scoops of soul, rare groove, and leftfield vinyl disco. No booking is neccesary.
Taking place on April 25, from 5:30pm at at the Hot House is ‘The Big Quiz’, hosted by TV presenter and meteorologist, Clare Nasir. Free tickets can be reserved here.
Cocktail making master class – 11 Central – Thursday April 25 – 7:30pm – 9pm
If mixology interests you, from £30 per person head bartender Rob can give you a session in the arts of alcoholic beverages.

FREE ‘Midnight’ Princess mini disco – Kargo.Mkt – Sunday April 28 – 10am – 12pm
Embark on a magical morning before the clock strikes 12pm with your family at the free ‘Midnight’ princess mini disco.

FREE Sunrise Yoga – Hot House – every Monday and Wednesday, 8am – 8:35am
For those who want to unwind in a morning and simply relax, every Monday and Wednesday the Hot House is offering yoga from 8:00am to 8:35am. Free tickets can be reserved here.
Or for a slightly later start, from 9:00am-9:45am, every Saturday come and visit Kargo.mkt. Tickets start rom £15 per person.
Sounds of Kargo – Kargo.Mkt – First Saturday of every month – 1pm – late (11pm)
From 1:00pm to 1:00pm on May 4, foodies can expect a taste of Mexico alongside live music and DJ’s at Central Bay.
No tickets are required.
FREE Snow Queen mini disco – Kargo.Mkt – Sunday May 5 – 10am – 12pm
Back by popular demand, and brilliant for children, Kargo.Mkt are hosting a free snow queen mini disco at 10:00am on May 5.
