Anna Ledwich’s production of Coram Boy will grace The Lowry’s stage in June to tell the ‘enthralling story of an aspiring composer.’
Adapted from Jamila Gavins Whitbread Award-winning novel, Coram Boy at The Lowry brings together director Anna Ledwich and designer Simon Higlett.
The production will take audiences through a commentary on wealth, combining themes of young love, betrayal and reconciliation.
The full cast has been announced and includes: Will Antenbring (Alexander Ashbrook), Louisa Binder (Young Alexander/Aaron Dangerfield), Pandora Clifford (Lady Ashbrook/Mrs Hendry) and Rhianna Dorris (Melissa Milcote/Angel).
An ensemble of 12 children will also join them.
Talking in an interview with Chichester Theatre Festival, Anna Ledwich said: “We’re going to have a wonderfully large company of actors; it’s going to be about great performers in that space – this is about really simple storytelling.”
The production will arrive at the theatre after a run at the Chichester Theatre Festival.
Coram Boy will run at the Lowry from Friday June 21 until Saturday June 29.
