The new food trader Egg & Co has opened in Central Bay’s food market at Salford Quays.
Egg & Co, located at the food market Kargo.Mkt, will offer the first 50 people through the doors on Tuesday April 9 a free sandwich from the kitchen.
The new brunch spot will serve up classic combinations such as bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches as well as signature creations featuring unique sauces and artisan brioche buns.
The breakfast place is founded by Umer Khalid, who aims to elevate the typical egg sandwich “to new heights of deliciousness.” Egg and Co also claims to be the first official egg sandwich breakfast place in the North.
Matt Bigland, Founder and Managing Director at Blend Family, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Egg & Co to be part of the incredible food community at Kargo.Mkt.
“Bringing together a diverse, talented set of local traders has always been our goal, and we are pleased to be expanding our offering into breakfast and brunch with Egg & Co.
“Giving independent businesses as space to grow is at the heart of what we do, so we look forward to seeing them thrive over the coming months.”
Kargo.Mkt is a giant food hall located along the waterfront from the Lowry Shopping Centre. There are over 20 different food outlets at the market that offer up cuisines from all around the world.
The market claims to be Salford’s biggest independent foodie destination.
