Manager Karl Robinson has called for consistency as Salford City enter what he hopes to be the best weekend of the year.
Salford play Sutton United on Good Friday which kicks off the beginning of their Easter Bank Holiday weekend as they look to build on back-to-back wins.
He said: “I want to use these Easter weekends as an opportunity for us to drive our standards and to make sure that we’re completely in unison of what we want to achieve moving forward.
“Unfortunately, if players don’t want to buy into that, it’s not going to be the right shirt that they’re wearing next season.
“I think we’ve had real decent levels of consistency – In the last 15 games, we’re only three points off top (in the 15 games period). So that just shows you that there’s a level of consistency in that time.”
Robinson’s previous teams have been known to score an abundance of goals. Since Robinson took charge, Salford have had 11 different goal scorers, including Conor McAleny, who scored a brace against Notts County.
Robinson said: “I’ve always liked Conor from afar, even when he was a young player at Everton.
“He’s scored some wonderful goals against me, so I know what he’s capable of. He’s a tremendous ball striker and he’s aggressive.
“One of our better performances was the Morecambe performance here without big Matt. So, it’s changing that one-dimensional approach but equally having a style but creating different variations within that.”
Robinson said there will be transfers in the summer despite being “proud” of his current players.
He said: “The performances some of the players have given this football club since I’ve been here – I’m very thankful to them. Don’t forget it’s not me, it’s them. They’re the ones who have to press the button every Saturday afternoon. I’m really proud of them.”

“For different reasons, some may stay, some may go, some may be sold, some may want to leave, one thing I will never question – is they’ve certainly put a lot into this shirt.”
The Ammies find themselves in 19th place, 16 points off the relegation zone yet 12 points off the playoff places. Robinson highlighted how both those ships had all but sailed and set out his goals for the remainder of the season.
Robinson said: “Winning as many games as we can to get ourselves as close as possible to that playoff position. Imagine if we get four, five points away from it, how much we’ll be kicking ourselves in the summer.”
“These are moments where you look at the fans as well, trying to create a fanbase for next season and trying to create more season ticket sales to mean we can spend more money. These are some of the games that we’ve got to make sure we do put performances on to get people excited for next season.”
