Salford’s Old Pint Pot is hosting a charity rave event all-day this Saturday March 9.

The charity rave event is raising money for the charity Manchester South Central Food Bank with the aim of giving back to the community.

Differing from the usual night-time rave, organisers Rec. are instead opting for a daytime party livestreamed to an online audience, as they look to do something “a little bit different.”

Co-founder of the company, Rec., Daniel Leach, said: “We’ve done loads of parties across the UK. We’ve done Hide and Seek Festival, we’ve recorded stuff at Manchester Airport underneath the Concord Plains.

“In terms of the Old Pint Pot, they don’t usually do this stuff there, so we really wanted to create events that people are actually going to remember.”

He also spoke about what rave-goers can expect to see and their aims for the event: “I guess, just a community feel. All the DJs, they’re local DJs. We’ve got DJ Absolutely Sh*t. They do a lot of parties at the White Hotel.

“And it’s going to be just high energy stuff, because when we’re filming, we just want to get good crowd reactions really. The full event is going to be streamed, so just high energy music. Breakbeats, house music, just electronic music.”

It is expected to be a smaller event with limited tickets available, Leach added: “It’s only a small, intimate party. We’re looking to go on final release tomorrow morning. We’ve done about 135 at the moment but looking to get to around 200. If you just search up Rec. charity event, they should all be there.”

The event is running from 6pm till midnight with the final release of tickets expected to be available tomorrow on Skiddle and other ticketing platforms.
