Roadworks are expected to begin tomorrow (March 1) on the Quays Road at the Salford Quays.
The road closure on the Quays Road, between the Broadway roundabout and Winnipeg Quay, is expected to last until Saturday March 23.
To “minimise disruption” the work will take place on weekdays between 9:30am and 3:30pm with temporary two-way traffic signals in place.
A fully signed, designated diversion will take traffic from either end of the closure onto Trafford Road and bring it back round to the other side. There will also be marshals available to assist at all times.
The works will introduce a reduced speed limit of 20mph along this stretch, as well as speed cushions and traffic bollards between the Broadway roundabout and the Alchemist “to make the area safer for residents and visitors.”
Commuters are advised to allow additional time for their journey while the road works are taking place.

Monday 4 March – Thursday 7 March between 9:30 – 3:30
Sunday 17 March between 8:00 – 12:00
During the closures, the 53 and 79 will remain on Trafford Rd, while the 29 and 50 will start and terminate on Broadway.
