Salford Parent Carer Forum is heading to Salford Community Stadium to host its annual SEND information day.
The free event on Saturday, March 9, will host a number of informational stalls and give parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities an opportunity to speak to professionals.
It will be the second annual SEND day held by the Salford Parent Carer Forum (PCF) after a very successful outing in 2023.
Viv Ormrod, the chair of Salford PCF, said: “Often, being a parent or carer of a child with special educational needs or disabilities can be difficult and a lot of families tell us that its challenging to access the right services at the right time.
“Our event gives parents the opportunities to speak face to face with professionals who provide vital services to children and young people, and find out what is available to their families.”
As well as opportunities for parents, there will be activities for the children and young people, such as face painting, balloon artists and arts and crafts. There will also be a chill out zone for young people to take advantage of.
There are over 30 services set to join the event alongside those already announced.
Currently, the forum have announced several attendees such as CAMHS, Healthwatch Salford, Gaddum Young Carers and Spectrum Gaming.
The event is set to be hosted in the hospitality suites of Salford Community Stadium, the home of Salford Red Devils.
The event will take place from 11am until 3pm. It is free to join and all are welcome at the event.
